WashU PD provides police services for the WashU campus community 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
WashU PD Officers are commissioned through St. Louis County Police Department, meeting state requirements for police certification. Our Officers receive continuous, progressive training to ensure ‘Excellence, without Exception” for our our WashU community. WashU PD Officers are highly engaged and know the importance of community-oriented policing.
WashU PD professional staff provide on-going support and resources for the department and community. Professional staff include business and administrative professionals, Dispatchers and licensed Security Officers.

WUPD also offers part-time opportunities to WashU students through its Bear Patrol program. Bear Patrol provide walking and golf cart escort during evening hours on campus inquiries should be directed to Ed Bartelme.
