Fingerprinting Services

As a service to our community, we provide fingerprinting services to students, faculty and staff of the Danforth Campus.

Hours for walk-in fingerprint requests

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday  7 a.m. to 2 p.m. (except holidays). After posted hours, requests will only be handled if an authorized staff member is available. To schedule large groups or classes for fingerprinting, contact Sergeant Geoff Himstedt​ at 314-935-5084.​

Fingerprinting services for the Medical School Campus are by appointment only, through the Protective Services Department, located at 4590 Children’s Place. For appointments, please call 314-362-4357.  


  • Driver’s License and Washington University ID.
  • Completed fingerprint card as provided by the requesting agency. If you do not have a card, a standard Applicant Fingerprint Card (FD-258) will be provided to you. No photocopies of cards will be accepted.

WUPD will not share any paperwork/fingerprint cards nor provide background checks.​​
