On October 15 at approximately 2:34 PM, the Washington University Police Department (WUPD) was advised of an incident involving two students who were walking on Big Bend near Fontbonne University when they were approached by the subject. The subject did not say anything to either student, then without warning he struck one of the students on the cheek with a closed fist and then ran away. The subject was apprehended and the Clayton Police Department presented the case to the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. Assault charges were issued today. The subject was released from custody late this afternoon.
On September 15, the subject was reportedly involved in an incident involving a verbal altercation and spitting at another Washington University student. The subject has been issued a “No Trespassing Order” by WUPD. If he is seen on campus, do not approach him and please notify WUPD at 314-935-5555.
• Report suspicious activity immediately to the Washington University Police Department at 314-935-5555 or go to the nearest emergency blue light telephone.
• Be observant and remain alert at all times. Do not get distracted with cell phones or other electronic devices.
• Observe the people around you. If they are acting unusual, create space and distance between you.
• If you observe someone acting unusual, do not be afraid to call the Washington University Police Department any time of the day or night.
