At around 9:15pm on 06/29/2022, there was a “strong-arm” robbery outside a restaurant in the 6100 block of McPherson. A female store employee had just closed the business and was walking to her car when a female subject approached her. The female subject said something unintelligible to the employee. When the employee did not respond, the subject began to physically assault the employee while trying to take the employee’s purse. As the two were struggling, a male subject, approached and took the employee’s purse. Both the male and female subjects got into a vehicle parked nearby and fled the scene, driving east on McPherson. No weapons were displayed.
The victim described the first subject as a heavy-set 5’7” female, estimated to be in her mid-30s with a gap between her front teeth. The female subject was wearing a blue scarf around her head and a blue and white shirt. The second subject was described by the victim as a male in his 40s wearing a blue t-shirt.
The victim sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene and released by emergency medical services.
