K-9 TEAMS ON CAMPUS

The Washington University Police Department works with our law enforcement partners when preparing for high-profile events on campus. This means you will most likely see an increase in police presence leading up to and including the days that events are held.

Some of these events require more security than others, depending on the nature of the event. In some instances, K-9 teams from our law enforcement partners are called in to assist with security, based on the requirements of the visitor(s).

If you see K-9 teams or uniformed law enforcement officers from other agencies on campus, no need to worry. This is normal and well-coordinated through WUPD and other campus partners.
